4. LOCAL GOOGLE FONTS

We have drawn up this data privacy statement (version 20.11.2020-311232978) in order to explain to you in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 what information we collect, how we use data and what options you have as a visitor to this website.

It is unfortunately in the nature of things that these explanations sound very technical, but we have endeavored when writing them to describe the most important points as simply and clearly as possible.

LOCAL GOOGLE FONTS DATA PRIVACY POLICY

We use Google Fonts of the company Google Inc. on our website. The company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for the European area. We have integrated the Google Fonts locally, i.e. on our web server – they are not taken from Google’s servers. This means that there is no connection to Google Services and that no data is transmitted or stored.

WHAT ARE GOOGLE FONTS?

Google Fonts were previously also called Google Web Fonts. It involves an interactive directory containing more than 800 fonts that Google provides free of charge. With Google Fonts, it is possible to use fonts without uploading them to your own server. To prevent any information from being transmitted to Google servers in this connection, however, we have downloaded the fonts to our servers. We act in compliance with data protection law in this way and do not send any data to Google Fonts.

Unlike other web fonts, Google allows us unrestricted access to all font types. We can thus access a wealth of fonts without limit and pick out the best one for our website. For more on Google Fonts and other questions, please see https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?tid=311232978.
